1. Teach Create Motivate

I have been following this teacher's blog for a while and I love it! She shares great ideas on classroom management and organization. I love how she gives detailed instructions on how to use her ideas in your own classroom and usually offers free printable to go along with them when applicable. She also has a section with some of her must-have items for the classroom and shares the links for where to get them. One of the items I really like is a prize wheel. She shares tons of ideas on how to use it such as, vocabulary practice, lining up, choose a read aloud, and math practice. These are all great ways to get students involved and interacting in many different areas throughout the day. Allowing the students to play a part in the decision making makes them feel important. Another feature I love is her classroom reveal. She shows all the details of her classroom and shares printables and other details from her beautiful room. It's a very nice and organized classroom! I also love how organized and colorful the website is.

One thing I really like about this teacher is that she allows her students to get really involved in the classroom and even with her classroom website. The students make monthly newsletter videos and she posts them on the website. Another idea of hers that I like is that she chooses 3 students to be helpers each day. The helpers wear tags that say "Ask me!" on them and the other students can go to them when they need help or have a question. I really like this idea because it allows the students to have some power while allowing them to interact. Teaching someone else is also a great way to practice. The following is a graphic from her site that I love and it shows a little bit about what she values in her teaching style:
She includes so many resources for teachers. When teachers use resources to better themselves as a teacher, the students benefit also, so this is a great feature.

One thing I really like about this blog is that she shares a bunch of crafts that go with different themes. I love doing crafts with my four little ones at home and it is something I will do with my future students as well. I feel it is important to let children be creative. She also shares some great classroom management ideas and classroom incentives. She believes in giving children clear expectations and positive reinforcement, which I agree with also. There is a curriculum section where you can choose from different subjects to get ideas and recommendations for each one. She shares a lot of great books also and I believe a good variety of books is a very important thing to have in every classroom. And of course, freebies to enhance the classroom are always great too!
4. Learning in Wonderland

When I go to this teacher's site I want to replicate everything she does in my own classroom. She has a great section on classroom management that I really like. Her current classroom rules are 1. Listen to the speaker, 2. Raise your hand to leave your seat, 3. Always be honest, 4. Be a caring friend, and 5. Always try your best. I feel like a classroom that could follow these five rules would be a great classroom. Her classroom is VERY organized and I know this makes learning much less stressful and distracting. In one section of her classroom she has an Author of the Month wall. I love this idea because it focuses on one author for the whole month. She mentions that the students develop a very strong connection with the author. I feel like this would be really fun and it would show them different things about authors. I have never seen this done before but I really like the idea. She also has a wall with each students picture on it and had them write about themselves. She mentions that it gives the children a sense of pride and I'm sure it makes the room feel more personal for them. It is important for the students to feel comfortable in their classroom.
